The Morton Arboretum’s innovative concept, Green City Rising, reimagines Chicago as an arboretum—a network of tree-centric green spaces, including neighborhood-level arboreta, where every neighborhood benefits from a healthy tree canopy.
The future imagined by Green City Rising begins with work already underway. The Arboretum's Chicago Region Trees Initiative and ArbNet are building up communities and growing Chicago's canopy today.
Together we bring a greener, more resilient Chicago to life.
